If replacing the free-running (spool/casting) bearings:

We recommend replacing one bearing at a time, and testing the cast after every replacement is installed, even if you plan on replacing them all. Sometimes, all a reel needs to really be opened up (and without feeling too changed) is 1 bearing. But it's all about preference and niche!
